Negotiation & Contracts TrainingAll training will include handouts for note taking and instruction on concepts with examples and experiential exercises to master the concepts. The lecture will present the concepts and plenty of time will be spent on ensure an understanding of concepts taught is communicated and students get questions answered and have an understanding of the material.

Exercises include debrief forms for each exercise and extensive discussion after each exercise will be used to solidify mastery of the concepts taught and learned. Students will learn as much from each others’ experience and discussion as doing the exercises. Experiential learning is done primarily for the feedback and experience.

Negotiation & Contracts

This course will teach you the basics of contract formation and provide foundations of contract language to help you better understand the contracts process. Whether you are in business for yourself, work as an employee or making a personal purchase, at some point you will have to sign a contract.

Discussing how to navigate contractsYou need to have a foundational understanding of how contracts are formed and where you fit into the process on either side of the table, whether you are the one offering or you are signing a contract to agree to be bound by its terms.

Contract Claims – Government Contracts Personnel
DAWIA Certification

Negotiation & Contracts

This course will teach you the foundations of Contract Claims and the basics of negotiation. Learn how to research, develop your position and negotiate a claim. Review and discussion of court cases plus experiential exercises to test your knowledge of the process. Previously taught to GSA Contracts personnel for DAWIA annual credits.

Participants will:

• Understand the basics of claims

• How to use negotiation skills and strategies to negotiate your position in a claim

• Review and discussion of court cases and high profile media cases

• Ways to avoid going to the claims process and how to avoid a potential lengthy court process

• Fun exercise to take you through the claims process from contract award to negotiating a claim

• End of course test is a Jeopardy-style game where all students participate in a fun challenge of course knowledge

Whether across the conference table or from the front of the room, good communication skills are a core tool for business success. Advanced stage anchoring skills and skills in effective use of tonality, gestures and stories for the speaker who has some level of speaking experience already or a desire to do the work to advance their skills to a higher level presenter.

• Build the confidence to easily and effectively present/speak up in any environment

• Have the ability to keep your conversation audience centered

• Understand the mechanics of speaking including positioning on stage, tonality, body language and gestures
