NEGOTIATION TIP: Hurt people, hurt people (Rick Warren). You can’t negotiate with crazy is the last strategy in my book. When people are hurt they sometimes lash out from that hurt. You are not able to reason with someone in that state of mind. Don’t even attempt it or waste your energy or time. Don’t let it take up rent free space in your head. Sometimes you have to be willing to walk away for the moment or a lifetime.
