Hate – it seems to be rampant if you focus on the negative. How do you stop hate? Look in the mirror and ask yourself these questions:

What do I absolutely love about myself today?
What do I love about (name of someone you know)
What have I done to be of service today?

If you love yourself first that’s where hate stops. We often claim to love others but have contempt for ourselves. Pastor Rick Warren says “hurt people, hurt people.” It’s hard to be unkind if you love yourself.

Next what do you love about someone close to you? Find love even if you are angry with someone or hurt by them. Discover what you love about them.

Finally what will you do to be of service today? Help someone when it’s inconvenient? Offer a smile, a kind word, some encouragement. Serving oftentimes cures our own “stuff” we have going on. There’s a saying that says “when I got busy I got better.”

Proverbs 16:24 says “Kind words are like honey- sweet to the soul and healthy for the body”

If kind words are like honey, what are hateful words like to the body? I’d say poison. What can you do to avoid self destruction and encourage self restoration?

The Power is in The Work – You do The Work, You will have The Power to live joyfully and fulfilled. Chose to do The Work
